I'm looking for a few ppl to help tech/flag this season.
Someone who has experience in building, knows how things are built, who isnt going to show favorites because his/her buddy is driving, someone who can take orders/help out others, honest,. If your interested, pm me with ur name n number so I can reach you. This is all done by volunteers and we all want the derbies to be fair for everyone.
Thank you

For those of you who run here, all building questions go thru Ben first, his number is on general rules page. Next, I'm only gonna say this once, To all drivers, if you build your vehicles to the rules u won't have any problems at the tech line. Rules are the way they are so everyone is on the same level, don't assume that you'll get thru tech by doing something not in the rules. If a rule says no shortening of frame, that's what it means. No Shortening! Ppl are getting outta hand by trying to get one thing or another above the next guy. Its getting way out ta control so this spring derby, there is a pesidence being set. All vehicles will be checked thoroughly to make sure everyone is on the same level.
Bottom line is build to the rules and nothing further. I have enlisted some great ppl to inspect this year.
Thank you in advance for your participation in this seasons derbies. We have done some dirt work on the track last fall n hope the soft spots are gone. Also new this year we will be selling t shirts to get funds to do upgrades to sound system, more dirt work.
Thank you.
Doug.

Pretty solid show, other than they must not know how long 2 minutes is. Cars trying to get started after 3-5 minutes, and they let them run? Also the whole lets pull them apart and have them go at it again even though 1 car/truck was stuck first and the other put in the last hit on it, why do that, last hit wins right, so why prolong it in a cat n mouse push around? I liked the hard hits in the mighty minis from the white van, also the compact winner was a joke, guy was stuck with no reverse, he gets stuck and was sitting for well over 2 minutes, they pull car 67 out due to a gas leak and than that car starts and goes on to win WTF

doug...just an opinion but heard alot of feedback from a few things.......pulling cars apart after there was clearly a last hit winner=very poor decisions.........taking away a pit person with entry to gain 20 bucks on every driver=bad idea.....raising the gate to 10 for everybody including kids=too much.....flag people "flipping out" on drivers=unprofessional and uncalled for......if you are "in charge" then the voice of several say"take charge".....money issues are obviously fair board ideas but they dont decide who makes a last hit..........for what its worth...........

thought it was a waste of 10 dollars to go watch. the reason they pulled cars apart is because the derby would have been done by 7 if they did not.

Alot of good points hear!!!! This sport is getting hard enuf to find cars and get people to run and come and watch. The flag man need to remember that the drivers bring the entertainment without them there will be no show!!! Every driver you guys chase away, its not just them that are gone its there fans to. hope u guys get it together before there isnt any 1 left. I can see if it happens, but not sumthin every show!!!

Its always easy to "have an opinion" when your only watching what is happening. FYI, no one sat for 3 - 5 minutes and the professionalism of the drivers reflects on the flag peoples reaction. When someone is flipping out in a car that can't seem to stop when a red flag is out and no one is moving tends to get a flag person wound up. Until you have been there in their shoes and know the details don't pass judgment. I was in the crows nest and would like to let everyone know that we had more timers than usual and there was great coverage. It's not easy to try and keep everyone happy and we are learning from every derby we run. We try to make improvements and adjustments to what is needed. Doug and I attend many of the derbies that happen around the area and it's amazing to me that we are bashed so readily when I've witnessed many other derbies that are ran not even close to as smooth as ours is. It is hard to find people to help and keeps getting harder. We appreciate the drivers and fans and are trying to improve all the time, as far as the prices, we researched what was being charged and we simply matched what other derbies were doing. The new prices were set by the fair board. Please don't consider this a bash towards the previous comments, just wanted to add some clarification. Thanks to everyone that ran yesterday and plan to the remainder of the year, we look forward to having some great derbies this year. See you at the derby

all good from me..... just spreading what I heard from drivers, fans, etc.....only want to make better for everyone....as far as prices go, maybe during a fair time but derby only maybe a little less, especially kids......suggestions only...flagging....yes, been on that side and its not glorious by any means....I have driven at litch for many years (or attempt to) so Im by no means attacking anyone....just hate to see it get chased away for reasons that are avoidable....PS...I just checked several counties on the website and most are 5, 6,and 8 bucks.......Only one listed at 10 is Litch...Litch is advertised as 10 for spring and fall but fair time 8 bucks....fyi and again, I know fairboard sets prices, not the derby folks but I hope they realize it......

anyway, see you thurs at fair if Im allowed )))

Just a note for some people,
It has been Litch/ Meeker County policy for many years that when a vehicle gets pushed outta bounds, that vehicle may come back onto track if it can. A vehicle drives off the track on its own, it may NOT come back on! Decisions were made by judges on a few other things that happened that were questionable, I will deal with those between now and fair time. Please feel free to pm me if you have any comments good or bad.
Thank you.
